The thing is: every service has to start somewhere.

Every service should have a fearless leader.

in the old days, doctors could start up a medical service all by themselves.

These days the number of regulations is staggering. But, that does not slow us down. We are still willing to support almost any doctor, specialist, or allied health care service provider, in almost any part of the country, to start up almost any service they like.

In the old days, a doctor could start up a medical practice with one other person to help.

These days we put a serious amount of effort into scheduling, booking systems, service, maintenance, employment, training, advanced telephony, IT, development, and compliance. There are as many people working behind the scenes as those willing to help on the day. Good luck to anyone else who would like to take on the role.

The thing is: one fearless leader would mean nothing in the whole scheme of things if it was not for the rest of the team.

In the old days, the team used to mean the people you worked with. These days the team is every single person who is willing to help us wash our cars, clean our windows, take bookings, repair equipment, support our IT, see a patient, teach, part-time lawyers and accountants who have seen it before.

We still need a fearless leader. Not as a boss, and not as a compliance officer as a rule. We need a fearless leader with vision. The vision does not have to be crystal clear. There are times when we just improve the service, because it might take us somewhere, at some point in time. We live at constant crossroads. So, we constantly need to think logical directions and a willingness to act.

Of course, the fearless leader matters. But we all grow, and so, it is all about the team as a rule.

Our fearless leader has a name. The thing is: they gave up worrying about names and titles, in favour of just caring for people, a long time ago.

Please let us know if you would like to be a patient or latch onto the team.
