Recreational and Occupational Scuba Dive Medicals

Although recreational and occupational scuba dive medicals use two different forms, the testing we do and the principles behind the outcomes are often the same.
Recreational scuba divers should complete an AS 4005.1 form.
An AS 4005.1 form;
- Can be provided by your scuba dive company
- Can be provided by us, or;
- Completed at the medical practice when you arrive.
Similarly, occupational scuba divers, including scientific divers should complete an AS2299:1:2015.
An AS2299:1:2015 can be provided by your place of work or study. We can also provide you with a copy of a AS2299:1:2015 form, for you to complete when you arrive.
We try to make our scuba dive medical fees as reasonable as possible. However please remember;
- Modern-day testing can be expensive
- Scuba dive medical ordinarily require spirometry and audiology and there is a charge for these tests
- ECGs are routinely performed on prospective recreational or occupational scuba divers aged fifty or more.
All of our scuba dive medicals are completed by doctors who have completed further training in underwater medicine in accordance with AS 4005.1 and AS 2299:1:2015.
